April 2024 Rescues
Henrietta: A beautiful stray cat about 8 years old. She was found near a road and was very lethargic. Her finder called Animal Control and they agreed she should go straight to the vet. Her long coat was covered in mats. She was dehydrated, had a severe urinary tract infection, and ear mites. They bathed her and cut her mats. They cleaned and treated her ears. She had one ear tipped, which meant she was spayed and was feral sometime in her life. She was nothing but sweet at the vet. Hopeful Hounds took custody and paid for her vaccinations, deworming. and treatment for fleas and ticks.

Mr. Pibb: A stray foxhound, about 2 years old. He is a sweetheart that loves people and other dogs. He was at Animal Control almost 2 months before finally securing a foster home for him. Hopeful Hounds had him neutered, vetted, and set him up for a wonderful life.

Oakley: A gorgeous Redbone hound about 4 years old. He was picked up by Animal Control after being hit by a car. He had several areas of road rash, a head wound, an injured eye, and a fractured pelvis. He was never claimed, so Hopeful Hounds took custody and took care of him. He stayed at the vet for 3 weeks where he could be kept confined while his pelvis healed. The cloudiness in his eye is almost gone. He was the perfect patient and became quite spoiled ❤

Georgie: A cute little stray about 3 years old. He too was picked up wandering on a back road. He seems to be a miniature Aussie mix, about 15 lbs. We don't know Georgie's story, but he was found missing a front foot. The wound seemed fairly fresh, so we think it could have been a trap. His long coat was covered in poop. He is incredibly sweet and very clingy.

Georgie loves being with other dogs. He won the heart of one of the employees at Lovingston Vet. Her dog loves him too!
Marci and Peppermint Patty: 2 little stray hound mixes brought to Animal Control, about 6 weeks old. They are extremely sweet and social.
